Macro-Biotic

The media tycoon Richard Desmond today starts a battle against investigative biographer, Tom Bower over allegations he made in his bio of Desmond, provisionally entitled Rough Trader.

Bower is a biographer who targets 'heavy hitters' and has written bios on Branson, Maxwell, Conrad Black, Al Fayed, Geoff Robinson and Gordon Brown.

Bower apparently has no plans to write a bio on Rupert Murdoch. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that the last Bower bio was published by Harper Collins, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.

There IS s bio on murdoch written by a guy called Wolff.
Maybe Bower doesn't want to double up.

To the best of my knowledge, Bower does only deal with subjects that have never been written about before

I suppose he needs to keep some friends.
His wife Veronica Wadley is editor of the Evening Standard. Will we see any biographies on either Rothermere or Medvedev? I doubt it.

I really think its pathetic as in PATH-ET-IC to make fun of the term macrobiotic. I have helped educate countless friends about the benefits of eating macrobiotic food. That you should abuse the term in a cheap shot against a a publisher is really beneath you. Excuse me while your 'blog' makes me bulemic.

Vegan sue, that is just bloody perfect. Is it true that vegans are THAT keen on avoiding the consumption of meat... I mean HUMOUR?

I agree, groovydave, if he decides to get another publisher to print his bios, then he probably will do one on Murdoch... Although, then again, let's just hope that Veronica doesn't join the NI clan!

But you never know. Quite how long she will last under 'Medvedev' (did you mean Lebedev by any chance MrBean?) is anyones guess.

Why don't you give vegansue a break? You lot are missing the point. If there is something to discuss, not much point turning on one of the contributors.
Why not just deal with the issue at hand - that is the subject of the blog.
